LIST is an app for managing shared shopping lists at home. This page explains what information is stored, where, and what you can do with it.

What's stored

• Account details. When you sign in with Google, the name, email address, and profile picture that Google passes along are stored. When you sign in as a guest, no identifying details are stored.
• List contents. List names, items, quantities, categories, and who checked off what.
• Photos. Photos attached to items.
• Household membership. Which shared household the account belongs to and who else is in it.

What's not stored

The app has no ads, no browsing tracking, and no third-party analytics tools. The information isn't sold and isn't passed to any commercial party.

Where it's stored

The data sits in Supabase, on servers in Frankfurt in the European Union. Access is restricted at the database level, so each user sees only their own household.

Signing in with Google

The permission requested at sign-in covers name, email, and profile picture only. There's no access to your inbox, contacts, calendar, or files.

Signing in as a guest

A guest account is tied to the browser it was created in. Clearing the browser data cuts off access to the lists, and there's no way to restore them. Guest accounts with no activity over a long period may be deleted.

Deleting data

Deleting the account from settings also deletes the lists and photos that belong to it. You can also ask for manual deletion by email.

Children

The app isn't meant for children under 13.

Changes

If the policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
